Part of our grand vision for New Epping is a seven-hectare health and well-being precinct that will service the growing needs of the new community, as well as the thriving population currently residing in the northern corridor of Melbourne.
With the population already in excess of 600,000 and projected to double in the next 15 years, now is the time to set up your practice in the health precinct at New Epping.
So, what’s on offer for healthcare providers and professionals?
The precinct will provide the community with a private hospital, childcare, aged care and retirement options, medical research, community and social services and medical consulting suites.
It will become the largest health and knowledge hub in Melbourne’s North – boasting more than 40,000 square metres of commercial space to lease or buy.
In turn, it presents a sound investment for health care services to help alleviate the increasing demand at the adjacent Northern Hospital, which provided care to 99,446 patients in 2017-18, an increase of 7.9%.
The Northern Hospital also helped to deliver 3,798 babies – an increase of 6.1% year on year – and had close to 229,000 people attend its outpatient services, an increase of 10.6% on the previous year.
These figures are only set to soar with The Northern Growth Corridor population expected to grow by 228,000 people between 2016 and 2031, meaning the demand for new health facilities is stronger than ever.
As part of the $2 billion New Epping development, the new health precinct will transform the region into a one-stop healthcare destination for both patients and medical professionals.
